My family

A year and a half ago I designed a knitting bag that is now in the hands of over two hundred knitters within the U.S. and around the world. As a knitter and crocheter myself I found the need one day for a bag that did more than just hold my stuff.

While I was sitting on a high stool in front of our wood stove on a cold March day, I was knitting without a bag. I really didn't have an "official" knitting bag at the time, and I had a spontaneous urge to make something with yarn. So I sat down with the essentials. Needless to say I jumped down from the stool many times to retrieve my yarn ball that had fallen to the floor. It had either rolled off the table or leapt from my lap almost every time I pulled on the yarn to knit...

I grabbed an empty 12 pack beer box, my husbands of course :) and continued to knit. The idea was to secure my yarn inside and feed the string through one of the holes. No brainer really, anyone can find a "yarn dispenser" gadget. But I wanted to create a bag that works as a yarn dispenser and an attractive carry all bag for supplies.

At the time I had already established my etsy site, a wonderful online place that sells all things hand-made, and was not very successful at selling the items I had available. I wanted to come up with something unique. I knitted for about 5 minutes, ran up to my studio and worked for the next 3 months designing just that.

Attractive one of a kind knitting bags that have room and pockets for all your knitting supplies, a built in divider and yarn feed hole for making the knitting process more efficient and fun. They also include vinyl interiors that help the yarn unravel beautifully and keep balls from creeping out of the bag.

My bags are all one-of-a-kind designs and range from the very funky to simple classic styles. I have 2 sizes of knitting bags, and have been creating various handbags too! Check in often to see my latest designs and selections and feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions or feedback. I love to hear from you.
